I've just installed a new add on that enables email notifications to all registered forum members whenever a new thread is created.
Hopefully this should encourage a bit of activity on the site and provoke faster responses and replies to new threads by alerting those who don't visit the site that often that there is new content.
This is now possible due to a new feature of XenForo 1.3 where you can watch forums for new content.
By default you are now subscribed to all forums with the preference of receiving an email notification for new threads.
If you prefer to not receive emails for a particular forum, simply visit that forum and click the 'Unwatch forum' link
To change the watch settings for a forum, unsubscribe as above, then re-subcribe using the same link to view the options.
If you prefer not to receive any alerts for new content or you want to change the settings for lots of forums at once, visit the Watched Forums page where you can manage all of the forums you are subscribed to and quickly change the setting for multiple forums at once.
Use the check boxes and the menu at the bottom of the page to change the settings:
Alternatively you can use the unsubscribe links in the email.
To prevent the emails from going into your spam be sure to add [email protected] to your safe senders or contacts list.
