I know this sounds like one of those ‘why would you pay that!’ Type posts but it isn’t!
I am still using an overclocked MSI 780GTX and I have had it since it came out, I am guessing 4 years or so, and of yet I haven’t found I need to upgrade to play anything. Admittedly I only really play Titanfall 2 at the moment, but it runs amazingly on my card.
My point being that these cards are expensive but well worth the investment, mine cost me around £500 but has given me a long time of decent service, so I think it’s worth paying.

Hey @Messa hope you're ok mate been a while since we spoke . I agree with ya pal I had a GTX 980ti and the only reason I upgraded to a 1070 I got it for £200 new lol, the GPU market is severely screwed at the moment due to crypto mining (for Bitcoin) and the prices are fucked lol that's why the Vega series is £100+ more than the original retail price.

I am good pal thank you, hope you are mate.
:)
I do need to upgrade my whole PC to be honest, I am still on an 8 core FX8350 which again was lightning in its day but is 3 or 4 years old now !
Once I would just upgrade every birthday or Christmas, now I find myself looking at the speed comparison charts and thinking ‘hmm but it’s not worth the money for the increase’.
But possibly I am just getting older and tighter.
:D

@Shifty especially when you're the one giving it :D, I'm good thanks @Messa thanks :).

Yea has @Ultraco the thing that let AMD 8350's down was the single thread performance (which games utilise more than core count) but the Ryzen seem to have eliminated that and took off really well, they're bringing out a 2nd generation of Ryzen soon aswell.

Wow it’s only since I read your posts that I realised how shit my setup has become, the performance differences are huge now. Time to upgrade my cpu I think. And therefore my motherboard. And memory.
Arghhhhhhhh!
