7 years I've been using my G15 and never had that problem, I suggest you stop fapping on your keyboard as it must be stripping the paint when your trying to scrape it off. Yeah still got my first gen G15, still works fine just backlight has dimmed over the years but can still see them all...

Hugo i went through 3 pairs of Medusa's cos of the headand breaking just above the earcup, and the vibration stopped working after while on them all not good for the money I paid for them but when they worked they were a good headset but poor build quality imo
