I say its fine, your not giving a enemy location away exactly and we have been doing it since release with no real problems and it works for both teams. And half the time your only saying " Tats im to your left mate" no big deal. up to enemy to collect them faster.
i don't mind.
But be aware if you call it out when there are friends on ts in the opposite team, they know you gonna try to get the tag... (camping tags)
Mentioning 'im to your left" or whatever direction you add, it only makes it easier to the opposing team to pinpoint your location. (your own position + shot sounds + direction towards tag = saying "i'm here" )
I just try collect them when I can, personally I know people want to get revived but I've died a lot of times going for tags that have been called out as it has given my position away a good few times which can be the difference between winning and losing, obviously this only applies when people on the opposite side are on TS
That's why I don't think its a big deal to call it as it works both ways......
But thinking about it, if its causing problems just have the usual no dead chat at all, its no big deal either way. No dead chat ends any debate and makes it fair to all members. Although it will be frustrating to be dead 5 ft from someone and not say anything, but that's the game right .
Having the tags added to the game type makes it more of a team game I think. I personally prefer being able to tell people where they are because (like Speedy said), its frustrating if they're right next to ur tags and they haven't noticed. And it can work for the other team too. Although I understand some people see this as dead chat. Maybe if the majority doesn't like the 'tag location dead chat', we could change TS lobby into teams while playing so that everybody can dead chat and reveal tag locations?? Either way I'll follow the majority, I'm not too bothered
I don't mind people shouting out tags, but when I'm on the other side and someone says "Mine are near the bin" as soon as I hear the tags getting picked up *a gong sound* in-game, he's dead, I can flip around and get them, it can be more dangerous then anything sometimes. 6 FFF vs. 6 Randoms = ok - 6 FFF vs. 6 FFF = different channels or no shouts. Might make people be more away of the leader board/surrounding/how many up.
Ya I agree with monkey maybe when we have a full lobby off FFF we should maybe drop 6 into another channel then there's no problems ,more often than not if you get asked to pick tags up you will collect more often then get killed
Think from today if we are playing with other members in TS we should just not do dead chat at all, so there is no need to drop into separate ts lobby.....
Im not bothred myself either way, but it quite hard when suddenly there is fff on opposite team when your used to shouting out, people say oi dead chat but it not on purpose it is just you forget me also lol
Personally i don't mind it that much, but i don't always think it's a game winning strategy to go for the tags instead of the bomb. It's gotten me killed more that it won the game.
The most annoying part is the teammates shouting "get my tag, get my tag, my tag's over there, com'on m8 my tag...". I'd rather have silence and listen to the game/footsteps ;-)
