For all those Battlefield gamers.
I have had this issue today and this set of steps from someone at ea seems to have helped with this particular issue.
I was getting "GAME DISCONNECTED : SOMETHING WENT WRONG" and then the message "LEAVING GAME"
this was done on :- WINDOWS 7 64BIT VERSION 6.1 (BUILD 7601: SERVICE PACK 1)
Step one
Open start menu and paste in the following command to open fire wall in advanced mode
%windir%\system32\WF.msc
PRESS ENTER
Step 2
On the LEFT side click "INBOUND RULES"
Step 3
On the RIGHT side click "NEW RULE"
Step 4
Click "PORT"
Click "NEXT"
Step 5
Make sure "TCP" is selected
Step 6
Make sure "Specific local ports" is selected and copy and paste the following ports in to the box. (they can all be pasted in at the same time)
80; 443; 9960-9969; 1024-1124; 18000; 18120; 18060; 27900; 28910; 29900
Click "NEXT"
Step 7
Make sure "Allow the connection" is selected
Click "NEXT"
Step 8
Make sure "DOMAIN" "PRIVATE" "PUBLIC" all have TICKS in the boxes
Click "NEXT"
Step 9
Give it a relevant name(mandatory) and description(optional)
Click "FINISH"
Then perfom a clean boot.
Press and hold the 'Windows' Key followed by the 'R' key to open up a prompt window.
In the prompt window, type 'msconfig.'
When you have finished typing, click OK. At this point, you should now see the multi-tabbed System
Configuration dialog box.
Click on the 'General' tab
Choose the 'Selective startup' option
Uncheck the 'Load startup items' box.
Open the 'Services' tab.
Check the 'Hide all Microsoft services' option at the bottom of the tab.
Click the 'Disable all' button.
When prompted, restart your computer.
Once restarted do the enable anything you disabled in msconfig and reboot once more.
You should be able to play without being kicked with the issue
GAME DISCONNECTED : SOMETHING WENT WRONG
and then the message
LEAVING GAME
THIS IS HELPED FOR ME!! IT MIGHT NOT FOR YOU!!
POST BELOW IF THIS HELPED YOU.
PEACE OUT
